Graeme Gulloch
B.Com MBA (Edin)
Director

Graeme Gulloch has exceptional business and marketing strategy skills plus a distinguished academic career gained in three countries.

His many achievements have included a highly commended in the NSW Young Achiever in Tourism Award (1995), Tourism NSW Marketing Award (1998) for a Regional Marketing Project and an Illawarra Tourism Award of Excellence – Marketing and Promotions Campaign for a Regional Conference Project (1999).

Graeme’s academic background, strong business acumen, insightful skills and an ability to think outside the square have made him an exceptional practitioner that has crossed business types and industry sectors.   He is a specialist in multiple stakeholder environments.

Vicki Tiegs
Director

With over 20 years experience in marketing, publicity and management, Vicki Tiegs has a skill-set drawn from working in finance, retail, charity and media.

Before the genesis of Waples, she spent an exciting 12 and a half years with the WIN Corporation – a 50 company group that includes WIN Television, i98FM, C91.3, WIN NBN Sales, Crawford Productions and winNET.

She has a proven track record in developing, planning and implementing creative and results driven marketing with her thorough understanding of advertising, journalism, media relations, publicity, promotions, communications and events across many mediums – print, television, radio and on-line.

Bob Poole
Senior Creative Director

Bob Poole is the creative brains trust at Waples.  His all round creative experience makes him an absolute expert in his field with over 30 years in the marketing world having worked in advertising agencies in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

Bob’s list of clients is extensive including multimedia campaigns for Sanitarium Health Foods, KFC, Honda, Wattly Paints, Foodtown Supermarkets, Continental Airlines, Fantastic Furniture and several major breweries and banks.  There isn’t a creative problem that Bob hasn’t faced and found a solution for – brand creation/refresh, brochure, annual report, advertising campaigns (press, TV and radio), website design – after 30 years in the business he’s done it all.

Bob is focused on sales growth and increased awareness for his clients.  He likes to hear his clients tell him that their ‘cash registers’ are ringing after a campaign hits the market.

Teresa Jooste
Head Designer/Production Coordinator

Teresa Jooste is Waples’ Head Designer and Production Coordinator responsible for generating and developing design concepts for our clients.  Her extensive knowledge and experience provides our clients with a skill set drawn from nearly 20 years working in major agencies in South Africa and Australia.

Teresa is able to work with knowledge of the client’s business and with a clear strategic direction.  Teresa also manages the relationships Waples has with an extensive list of external production and printing suppliers Australia-wide, enabling her to source the best quality, most cost effective and timely external suppliers on behalf of clients.

Nicole Bouverie
Senior Account Manager

Nicole Bouverie comes to Waples with a diverse background in agency land in both Australia and the US and has all round marketing experience.

Prior to joining Waples, Nicole worked at Whybin TBWA Tequila working on Visa, Colgate-Palmolive and Brown Brothers.  Prior to her 4 years in Sydney she worked for TBWA Chiat Day/Tequila in Los Angeles as an Account Supervisor working on Health Net Inc, Energizer Inc.  She has also worked for Deutsch in LA as an Account Executive working on Mitsubishi Motors North America.

Madeline Ryan
B.Comm (PR & Org Communication), MPRIA
Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator

Madeline Ryan is a self-confessed PR junkie, believing that effective communication will yield strong results.  She joins Waples after three years working at the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) as Events and Communication Coordinator where she successfully ran over 80 seminars and social events for PR practitioners, wrote monthly newsletters and contributed to a number of articles on public relations for industry publications such as BandT, AdNews and Marketing Magazine.  Madeline also was the coordinator for the PRIA Golden Target Awards, a national awards program for the PR industry.  She knows what makes a successful campaign, and what doesn’t, bringing a unique perspective to Waples strategy.

Sue Hegarty
B.Comm (Accy), CPA
Accountant

Sue Hegarty is the Accountant for Waples Marketing Group.  Sue graduated in 1994 from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy and acquired her CPA from the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants in 1998.

She joined Waples in 2004 as Accountant and oversees the Group’s financial control and planning.  Her skills and experience are vital to the continued growth of Waples and the continuous improvement of our systems and administration platform.

Michelle Keelan
Office Manager

Michelle is the first point of contact for many people when liaising with Waples and the latest addition to the Waples team, bringing  with her over 10 years experience in Office Management.

With most of her career spent working in the Wollongong region and coming from a Real Estate Valuing and Mortgage Broking support role, she has a knowledge and familiarity of the local Wollongong business network.

Michelle is an integral part of the Waples team, ensuring that the office is organized, runs smoothly and that prompt responses are made to all incoming enquiries, with customer service one of her main focuses.

Tracy Paterson
Media Advertising Director

Tracy Paterson is Waples’ Media Advertising Director and, after 20 years in television and radio, has expert experience in planning effective advertising campaigns that will reach a client’s target market.

Tracy started her career in radio sales in 1991. From there, Tracy moved into television with WIN Television Wollongong where after only two years she was offered a Station Manager’s role in Mackay, Queensland.
Tracy then moved to a Direct National Sales role with WIN Television’s WIN NBN National Sales office.
In 2002 she returned to Wollongong to commence a Sales Manager role at i98FM. From 2004 onwards, Tracy has held the Sales Manager role at WIN Wollongong, General Manager at i98FM, a promotion to Director of Sales for NSW and QLD for the WIN Network, and Sales and Programming Services Executive for the WIN Network – all this whilst also bringing three children into the world!

Tracy’s skills include audience analysis and measurement, audience/listener habits and buying cycles, how to use ratings/data to maximize advertising potential and post-campaign analysis. 

Lisa Gregorio
Senior Account Manager

Lisa has an extensive national agency background and has managed above and below the line campaigns for some of Australia’s largest retailers such as Woolworths, McDonalds and Telstra. Lisa has particular experience in developing growth strategies across all communication disciplines to provide fully integrated solutions.

Lisa’s agency career started in 1993 and over the last 18 years she has worked for DDB Needham Sydney, Oddfellows Advertising Agency, Singleton Ogilvy & Mather, M & C Saatchi Sydney. She also spent just over a year working for Australian Business Ltd in their Events Marketing division.

An experienced and highly skilled marketer, Lisa brings to Waples’ clients outstanding retail and consumer knowledge to make a campaign truly successful.

Mick Donohoe
Senior Consultant

A marketing, sales and brand speciliast, Mick brings a wealth of experience consulting and working for a range of brands and organisations. His key competencies are in building brand awareness, strategic planning for business growth, developing relationships, positioning and sports marketing.

Throughout his long career, Mick works as a freelance sports journalist, writing on big sports events such as the Rugby World Cup and Commonwealth Games. He has also appeared as a features writer in publications such as Sunday Telegraph, Ralph, Rugby League Week, and Australian Swimming and Fitness to name a few.

In the corporate sphere, Mick has worked in senior marketing and brand development roles for organisations such as the ATO, ahm Health Insurance and Piranha Eyewear.
