Piranha Eyewear
Piranha Eyewear wanted to build brand awareness around their Ugly Fish sports sunglasses range beyond its exisiting sporting markets and attract new customers from other lifestyle segments. Piranha also wanted to introduce a ‘leisure’ range of Ugly Fish glasses to encourage brand loyalty.
Waples conducted extensive research into Ugly Fish customers’ buying habits, sporting lifestyles and expectations from the product. This research was used to develop a marketing plan that would assist Ugly Fish to better resonate with its target consumers and to assist retailers make the sale. Piranha now have a targeted campaign complete with celebrity endorsement and refreshed advertising that is getting results!
Investment and Planning Services (IPS)
Waples was asked to develop a practical and cost effective marketing plan that would attract new clients, increase the profile of Investment and Planning Services in the Wollongong market, increase the level of referral business, and improve service levels to existing clients.
Waples conducted an internal review of IPS services and client base as well as current and past marketing activities and provided a plan that would achieve the set objectives. The plan included a visual overhaul, IPS hosted financial workshops, a client newsletter, strategic advertising and media campaign and community involvement through sponsorships.
Minova
Minova Australia offers the world’s most comprehensive range of chemical strata support and ventilation products for mining and tunnelling applications. The customer perception was that Minova is a small company out of Nowra that only can make resin capsules. Customers generally were not aware of the breadth of Minova’s offer or that Minova supplies resin to resellers who promote it under their flag.
A review and analysis of Minova Australia’s marketing goals was used to determine the basis and priority for marketing recommendations. The marketing campaign strongly focused on awareness, highlighting point-of-difference, and effective communication to eliminate confusion in the marketplace.
Waples repackaged the Minova Brand, and implemented a strategic plan that would highlight their strengths and specialty services.
