Get the message out of the bottle and into the world!

Waples will help you get your message out, listen to the message coming back and manage all the communication in between to ensure your relationships and reputation are looked after.  We will find the best ways to communicate with your target audience whether it’s through the media, talking to people and groups directly, organising events, or through creating publications and online information.  We will be your mega-phone, but we’ll also be your hearing aid!

NBCF
Waples manages and coordinates the PR for the Illawarra Committee of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  Throughout the year, the committee plans a range of activities and events to fundraise for the NBCF.
Using our intimate knowledge of the local media, Waples create opportunities for the media to report on the activities of the committee, to ensure the public are informed and aware of the efforts of this charity and will be inspired to contribute.  Activities include the Mother’s Day Fun Run, Black Tie Gala Ball and Spring Fashion Luncheon.

The Steve Waugh Foundation
The Steve Waugh Foundation (SWF) was established in 2004 to help children in Australia and India whose dreams are shattered by rare illness and are in desperate need where the families have absolutely nowhere to turn.  With little awareness or advocacy for rare diseases, the SWF approached Waples to develop a PR plan that would build a sustainable profile and position the Foundation as the ‘voice’ of rare diseases.
Through the use of strategic media relations, and identifying unique opportunities for involvement from the Foundation, Waples was able to gain substantial media coverage on television, radio and in print media on a national scale.  Waples also provided consultation on the creative elements of the Foundation, to ensure a consistent approach was taken to all communication efforts.

Mirvac
Waples was engaged to deliver a communication plan for Mirvac and seven of their residential developments.  The overall objectives were to increase recognition and drive awareness for the Mirvac brand and increase sales of individual developments.  On a strategic level for the various developments, key messages were created that would position the developments as alternate lifestyles, sound investments, and affordable purchases for home buyers.  Waples then tailored the plan and messaging for the target audiences and media, positioning Mirvac as a leader in property development with a strong focus on quality customer care.

ahm Health Insurance
ahm Health Insurance engages Waples’ PR services on a yearly basis to assist in the management of their media relations, sponsorship leverage, spokesperson profiling, event management and community engagement.
Each year Waples develops a plan, based on constructive and ongoing consultation, which actively seeks out opportunities to for ahm to build strong links with the Illawarra community and position itself as a supporter of health and healthy activities in the Illawarra.

Smorgon Steel Great Scrap Round Up
A national integrated project to move regional and rural Australia, particularly broad acre farms to pledge scrap metal for recycling.  Waples delivered the communication strategy and planning, media relations and publicity in multiple markets simultaneously - trade and general - using Lee Kernaghan as the ambassador/spokesperson for the project.

Horizon Credit Union
Waples has been delivering PR services to Horizon Credit Union for the past eight years.  During this time, we have successfully assisted in the growth of the business and awareness in the public sphere through the media, innovative member offers, and public displays that communicate the value of their service and standing in the community. Membership growth has been consistently strong and in a recent member survey, Horizon achieved an impressive 96.5% overall satisfaction rating from its members.

Telstra Country Wide
Waples has worked extensively for Telstra Country Wide to localise their efforts for the Illawarra and South Coast, the ACT, Penrith, the Macarthur and the Hunter.  These activities have included leveraging sponsorships such as the Telstra Country Wide Surf Life Saving Association (SLSA) affinity program and the Telstra Great Southern Blues and Rockabilly Festival.  Additionally it included a range of consumer promotions including the $10,000 Mobiles Extravaganza.  The know-who and know-how of Waples helped to profile local senior management and win community support for Telstra Country Wide and their relationships, harmonising their national approach with the local community.
